GPS Tracking

Most 4G/5G modems have a GPS chip built in and we can use this to track the device and use that data in other applications such as Home Assistant or Traccar. Mikrotik's LTE6 card does not have GPS but the LtAP mini has the proper hardware on board, only requiring an external antenna.

DNS & DHCP Issues on LtAP Mini

Default IP: 192.168.88.1

Alternate IP?: 192.168.3.5 or .1 - Not sure why this is happening

There are some issues with DNS & DHCP on the LtAP Mini. Upon resetting to factory defaults any connected device gets a self-assigned IP which makes connecting via Winbox or the Webfig interface nearly impossible. It also seems that once the QuickSet page is properly configured, DNS is broken for connected devices.

Note from Chloe on 2024.01.12 - I remember this happening in the past (almost 2 years?) but I did not document the solution, so I'll have to redo the research I did then. I remember it being a hidden setting in WebFig.

Reset Device

Press reset button while plugging in power - 5 sec until flashing LEDfor factory reset - 10 sec for Capsman - 15 sec for Netinstall
